CBSE Supplementary Exams 2025: Complete Schedule, Eligibility, and Guidelines

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the date sheet for the Class 10 and 12 Supplementary Exams 2025. These exams provide a second chance for students who did not clear one or more subjects in the main board exams.

  • Class 10 Exams: July 15 to July 22, 2025

  • Class 12 Exam: July 15, 2025 (single-day exam for all subjects)

The exams will be held in offline mode at designated exam centres across India and abroad.

Eligibility Criteria for Supplementary Exams

Students are eligible to appear for the CBSE supplementary examination if:

  1. They have been placed in the “Compartment” category in one or more subjects.

  2. They have failed to score the minimum passing marks (33%) in individual subjects.

  3. They wish to improve performance in a subject (only applicable for Class 12 under certain conditions).

Students must register through their schools or online via the CBSE official portal.

How to Apply for CBSE Supplementary Exam 2025

  • Visit the official website: cbse.gov.in

  • Click on “Supplementary Exam 2025” link under the latest announcements

  • Fill in the details and pay the applicable exam fee

  • Download and save the confirmation page

Important Guidelines for Students

  • Admit cards will be available from the first week of July 2025

  • Carry your original admit card and valid ID proof to the exam centre

  • No electronic gadgets or calculators allowed

  • Reach the centre at least 30 minutes before reporting time

Result Announcement

  • CBSE Class 10 and 12 supplementary results are expected to be declared by the first week of August 2025
