    The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) conducts various competitive exams to recruit candidates for different posts in the Indian Railways. These exams are highly popular due to the job security, attractive salary, and benefits offered by the Indian government. Some of the major RRB exams include RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories), RRB Group D, and RRB JE/SSE (Junior Engineer/Senior Section Engineer) for technical roles. These exams assess candidates’ aptitude, reasoning ability, technical knowledge, and general awareness, and are usually held in multiple phases including Computer-Based Tests (CBT), Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), Document Verification, and Medical Examination, depending on the post applied for.

    1. RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories)

    • Posts: Clerk, Typist, Traffic Assistant, Goods Guard, Station Master, etc.

    • Eligibility: 12th pass or graduate (depending on the post).

    • Exam Pattern:

      • CBT 1 and CBT 2 (Objective type).

      • Skill Test/Typing Test (for certain posts).

      • Document Verification and Medical Test.

    • Subjects: General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning.

    2. RRB Group D

    • Posts: Track Maintainer Grade IV, Helper/Assistant in various technical departments.

    • Eligibility: 10th pass (Matriculation) or ITI from recognized institutions.

    • Exam Pattern:

      • Single-stage CBT.

      • Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

      • Document Verification and Medical Test.

    • Subjects: General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and Current Affairs.

    3. RRB JE/SSE (Junior Engineer/Senior Section Engineer)

    • Posts: JE (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, etc.), SSE (for experienced technical roles).

    • Eligibility:

      • JE: Diploma/Degree in Engineering.

      • SSE: Degree in Engineering and work experience.

    • Exam Pattern:

      • CBT 1 and CBT 2.

      • Document Verification and Medical Test.

    • Subjects:

      • CBT 1: General Awareness, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Science.

      • CBT 2: Technical subjects relevant to the engineering discipline.
