The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has commenced the registration process for the 2025 supplementary examinations for private candidates of Classes 10 and 12. This initiative offers students an opportunity to improve their academic performance without waiting an entire year, aligning with the National Education Policy 2020.

Application Window: May 30 to June 17, 2025
Examination Start Date: July 15, 2025
Admit Card Release: Expected in the first week of July 2025
Eligibility Criteria
Private candidates who appeared in the CBSE Class 10 or 12 board examinations in 2025 and were placed in the ‘compartment’ category are eligible to apply for the supplementary exams. Additionally, private students who have already passed but wish to improve their marks in a subject can also register.
Subject Limits
Class 10: Eligible to appear in up to two subjects.
Class 12: Eligible to appear in one subject only
Application Fees
Private Candidates in India: ₹300 per subject
